We have arrived =)
Three things I noticed about Calgary so far:
1. It's really flat. Well, on three sides anyway. You can see far out onto the horizon. The west side has an elevation, so you can't see past that. But it's really neat, cause you can't experience this kind of view anywhere in Toronto.
2. No PST is really cool! We had lunch at this great restaurant called Joey Tomato's, and the bill before tax was about $53... and after tax was about $56!!! Can you imagine that!
3. It's FREEZING here. It's about 2 degrees. We got off the plane, out of the airport...and almost keeled over. The wind was icy cold, and it was pretty fierce. I have a feeling I need to go shopping for mitts, a scarf, and a hat before we head up into the Rockies... but then again, shopping is pretty good since no PST =)
If you're wondering why I'm online, Ryan and Adrian are resting right now. I've been sleeping since we got on the plane, with the exception of lunch at Joey Tomato's. I think I fell asleep before the plane lifted off. And I was asleep within 5 minutes of getting into the car. Needless to say, I'm quite rested right now, though I'm sure as soon as we get in the car to drive, I'll fall asleep again =)
